The Reading Fightin Phils defeated the Portland Sea Dogs 11-1 in an Eastern League game held at Hadlock Field. The victory was supported by a strong performance from Cody Bowker, who earned the win in his Double-A debut by pitching five innings, allowing only one run on two hits with six strikeouts and no walks.

Reading secured the win by scoring eight runs in the final two innings. While Will Turner hit a solo home run for Portland in the fifth inning to briefly narrow the gap, the Fightin Phils responded with multiple runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings through hits by Bryan Rincon, Luke Ritter, Nick Biddison, and Bryson Ware.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony participated in the game as part of his second rehab assignment. Playing in left field, Anthony went 0 for 3 with one strikeout before being replaced by Ahbram Liendo after six innings.
