Italy hosts various cultural and community initiatives

Various cultural, social, and environmental initiatives are taking place across Italy. In Marconia, the book “Tursi dentro di noi” by Luigi Caldararo will be presented, focusing on the history and linguistic heritage of Tursi. In Lascari, the “Libri Insieme” event aims to foster intergenerational dialogue through literature and oral traditions.

Environmental and social inclusion efforts include a Plastic Free and Seconda Chance cleanup day in Palmi, involving inmates from local penitentiaries to promote community reintegration. In Civitavecchia, the “Liberi di leggere” initiative uses reading to strengthen family bonds within the prison system. Additionally, the #IoLeggoPerché campaign will return in Orvieto to donate books to school libraries.

Other events include the presentation of an excursion guide dedicated to Thomas De Marchi in Trieste, the launch of Aurelio Bramante’s historical novel in Avezzano, and the celebration of the Italian Booksellers Association’s 80th anniversary, featuring a republication of a Carlo Collodi work by Giunti Editore. In Cesate, the Linux Day will promote open-source software and digital sharing.
