Reading & Leeds Festivals draw over 500,000 attendees

The Reading & Leeds Festivals drew over 500,000 attendees across its two sites in 2026, establishing it as Europe’s largest summer music festival. For the first time in 26 years, the headlining lineup consisted entirely of artists from the United Kingdom and Ireland, including Charli xcx, Chase & Status, Dave, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D. C., and RAYE.

Organizer Festival Republic implemented a significant overhaul of the festival layouts, introducing five new spaces: The Gallery, The Warehouse, The Ballroom, The Canopy, and The Yard. The Warehouse focused on dance music, while The Canopy served as a platform for developing artists.

At the Leeds site in Bramham Park, performances included notable sets from Blossoms, who delivered a nostalgic, 70s-inspired performance on The Grid stage. The festival also featured several unannounced secret sets from artists such as Jamie T, Lola Young, and Royal Blood.
