France corn harvest expected to drop by nearly half

France is facing a significant decline in its corn harvest, with Agreste, the statistical office of the French Ministry of Agriculture, reducing its estimate for this year's grain corn production to 7.3 million tons. This figure is nearly half of last year's output, driven by a 27% drop in yields and a 28% reduction in planted areas. This represents the lowest French corn yield since 1990.

Following the production news, corn prices on the MATIF Paris commodity exchange rose by 3.24% to 286.75 EUR/t during a closed session on October 13. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has concluded a nine-month correction, signaling the start of a new long-term growth cycle. Technical analysis suggests potential upward movement toward the $90,000 mark, as the market rebounded from a low of approximately $57,000 in late August.
