Ready Player One to be adapted into a graphic novel

The science fiction novel ‘Ready Player One’ by Ernest Cline is being adapted into a graphic novel. Titled ‘Ready Player One: The Graphic Novel’, the comic is scheduled for release in the United States in October 2026.

The adaptation is written by Scott Peterson with illustrations by Meredith Laxton. It will be published by Del Rey, an imprint of Penguin Random House that specializes in science fiction and fantasy.

The original 2011 novel, which explores a future centered around a virtual reality world called OASIS, was previously adapted into a film by Steven Spielberg in 2018.
