Real Betis players prepare for Champions League and LaLiga milestones

Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos missed the squad selection for the match against Real Madrid due to a lack of competitive rhythm. Manager Manuel Pellegrini explained that Ceballos has been out of the regular group dynamic for several weeks following a summer without a standard pre-season, having trained alone after rescinding his contract with Real Madrid in June.

Ceballos is now working to reach match fitness with the goal of joining the squad for Betis's Champions League debut against Lille on September 8. This match marks the club's return to top-tier continental competition after 21 years.

Additionally, midfielder Álvaro Fidalgo recently saw his first minutes in LaLiga during Betis's 1-0 victory over Real Madrid. Following the match, Fidalgo shared a social media interaction with former teammate Julián Quiñones, highlighting the continued friendship between the players following their time together at Club América.
