Real Betis players shine despite rotations in match against Barcelona

Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini implemented significant squad rotations for the match against Barcelona, making eight changes to the lineup following a Champions League victory against Porto.

Abde Ezzalzouli emerged as a standout performer, demonstrating high technical quality and leadership by driving the attack and forcing key plays. Giovani Lo Celso also showed signs of recovery, scoring a notable goal that was subsequently disallowed by VAR.

However, the match was marked by disciplinary issues and errors. Facundo Bernal was sent off following an incident involving Lamine Yamal, and goalkeeper Álvaro Valles faced criticism regarding his positioning during ball exits. Despite the efforts of players like Fornals and Abde, the rotated squad struggled to maintain control against the league leaders.
