Real Betis seeks 42.9 million euro capital increase to fund stadium

Real Betis has reported its highest business turnover in history, reaching 150.6 million euros for the 2024/25 period. While the club achieved a profit of 4.6 million euros and saw commercial income rise to 37.3 million euros, it faces significant financial structural challenges.

Despite increased revenue from European competitions, the club reported a negative net worth of 39.9 million euros and accumulated losses exceeding 99 million euros. To address these issues, the club is utilizing a capital increase of up to 42.94 million euros approved in August 2023. This capital injection aims to correct negative equity, improve the sports spending limit, and finance the next phase of the Benito Villamarín stadium.

The financial evolution under Ángel Haro shows a trend where increased competitiveness and European participation have driven higher revenues but also increased costs related to salaries, amortizations, and investments required to maintain a high-level squad.
