Real Brokerage advances RE/MAX acquisition following shareholder approval

Real Brokerage is advancing its acquisition of RE/MAX Holdings following shareholder approval at both companies. The deal, first announced in April 2026, aims to form the Real REMAX Group. Finalization of the merger remains subject to several conditions, including a required order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

In anticipation of the deal closing, RE/MAX CEO Erik Carlson has announced plans to step down from his current role to join the Real REMAX Board. Additionally, RE/MAX Chief Growth Officer Chris Lim and Executive Vice President of Strategy Travis Saxton have also announced intentions to depart the firm.

Real Brokerage CEO Tamir Poleg reported significant growth for the company, noting an agent count exceeding 36,000 across the United States and Canada. Poleg highlighted a nearly 50% compounded growth rate in agents since early 2023 and a rise in last-12-month revenue from approximately $500 million in mid-2023 to over $2.3 billion in mid-2026.
