Real Club de Golf de La Herrería near San Lorenzo de El Escorial

The Real Club de Golf de La Herrería, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama near the monumental site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, offers an 18-hole, par 71 course spanning 6,091 meters. Designed by José Gancedo, the course underwent a remodel in 2000 that incorporated three lakes while respecting the natural landscape. Although it is a private club, it is open to the public and features various practice areas, including a putting green and chipping green.

The location provides proximity to the Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a Renaissance building constructed between 1563 and 1584 by Philip II. The monastery serves as a resting place for members of the Spanish royal house, including Charles V. The site is currently maintained by Augustinians.
