Real de Rosarito Boulevard expansion reaches 35 percent completion

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Territorial Reordering (SIDURT) is progressing with the expansion of the Real de Rosarito Boulevard in Baja California, Mexico. The project involves paving 2.6 kilometers of the road with hydraulic concrete and expanding it to four lanes to improve mobility and accommodate population growth.

Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, head of SIDURT, reported that the project has reached a 35 percent overall completion rate. Current work includes the laying and compacting of hydraulic base, sub-base material supply, and impregnation irrigation. The project includes over 15,000 square meters of hydraulic concrete and more than 400 square meters of asphalt, along with the construction of curbs, sidewalks, and gutters.

The expansion is expected to benefit more than 50,000 residents in neighborhoods such as Costa Rica, Vizcaino Residencial, Ampliación Plan Libertador, and Infonavit Real de Rosarito. The project is being carried out in coordination with the Playas de Rosarito City Council.
