Real estate and hospitality sectors see growth in Romania

In the Romanian business sector, two distinct developments are shaping the real estate and hospitality markets. Travlocals, an accommodation platform founded by Radu Fusea, has reported a 50% growth rate following investments exceeding 500,000 euros. The platform aims to provide an alternative to global giants like Airbnb and Booking by offering independent hosts their own sales channels and infrastructure. Travlocals currently collaborates with over 800 properties across Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Austria.

Simultaneously, REMAX Romania has announced the opening of seven new franchises across six Romanian locations, including Oradea, Florești, Pitești, Rădăuți, Sânnicolau Mare, and Alba Iulia. This expansion follows the international acquisition of REMAX Holdings by the American firm Real Brokerage in a deal valued at approximately 880 million dollars. The merger created the Real REMAX Group, which intends to integrate Real Brokerage’s technological tools, including artificial intelligence, into the traditional REMAX franchise model.
