Real estate developers reach historic reputation highs in 2026
The reputation of real estate developers has reached a historic high in 2026, according to the ninth edition of the “Reputation of Development Companies” report presented at SIMA 2026. The sector achieved an average score of 5.8 out of 10, representing a 0.3-point increase from the previous year and a recovery from a decline in 2025.
Professionalism remains the sector's strongest attribute, scoring 6.7 points. In contrast, transparency continues to be the weakest link, scoring 5.3 points despite showing improvement. The study, based on surveys of SIMA visitors, notes that perceptions vary by demographic: investors, men, and older individuals provide more positive ratings, while final buyers, women, and younger people are more demanding.
There is also a notable gap between the institutional reputation of companies and the perception of individual professionals. Salespeople and advisors received a reputation score of 7 points, which is 1.2 points higher than the score for the companies themselves, suggesting that direct contact with professionals improves the sector's image.
