Real estate developments and rehabilitation projects in Spain
In the Alfonso X urban development, the recently rehabilitated building number 4 has seen a record sale of its units. All ten available apartments were sold or reserved within just two weeks. Prices for the renovated properties ranged from 225,000 euros for two-bedroom units to 325,000 euros for larger apartments. This project follows a fatal fire that occurred three years ago in a twin building. The complete revitalization of the area is expected to continue with the renovation of building number 6, which is scheduled for completion by 2029.
Separately, in the Alcosa neighborhood of Seville, the rehabilitation of 14 residential blocks in Plaza Encina del Rey has faced significant delays and complications. The project, costing 4.1 million euros and funded primarily by the Seville City Council and the Junta de Andalucía, was originally due for completion in February. Although the Urbanism Management department had provisionally estimated penalties of approximately 699,130 euros against the contractor, Gyocivil SAU, due to delays and failure to meet commitments, these sanctions were recently withdrawn to avoid impacting the progress of the works.
