Real estate diagnostician training in France requires in-person exams

Remote training for real estate diagnosticians is a legally recognized path in France, but it is subject to strict regulatory requirements. While theoretical content can be delivered via e-learning or virtual classrooms, the final certification exam must be completed in person before an accredited jury.

These standards are governed by the ISO 17024 norm for person certification and overseen by COFRAC in France. Training costs vary significantly, ranging from 35 euros to over 5,000 euros depending on the specific field. Most initial training programs can be financed through the CPF, France Travail, or OPCO.

Specific module durations are also regulated; for example, asbestos training requires a minimum of three days, while DPE (Energy Performance Certificate) training exceeds 56 hours.
