Real estate trends show high-end rental demand in Taiwan and Hong Kong

In Taichung, Taiwan, luxury rentals in the Qiqi district have reached new heights. The Bao Hui Garden Plaza recorded a monthly rent of 260,000 TWD, totaling over 3 million TWD annually. Other high-end properties in the area, such as Lian Ju Xinyi Mansion and Bao Hui Century Garden, also command monthly rents exceeding 220,000 TWD. Real estate agents identify three primary tenant groups: corporate executives and expatriates, high-net-worth individuals testing properties before purchase, and homeowners undergoing renovations.

In Hong Kong, professional talent families are driving rental activity in specific districts. A two-bedroom unit at La Visage in Pok Fu Lam was recently leased for 43,000 HKD per month, with tenants citing the proximity to international schools and the natural environment as key factors. Additionally, a unit in Quarry Bay was leased for 25,000 HKD per month to a professional from mainland China seeking convenient amenities and well-maintained interiors.
