Real estate market activity rises amid stable price growth

The real estate market is seeing a resurgence in activity, with Otodom data indicating that over 32,000 new apartments were found by buyers since the start of 2026, a 40 percent increase compared to the previous year. While sales have outpaced new listings by 13 percent, price growth has stabilized, with annual increases in the seven largest cities not exceeding 10 percent in August.

Despite increased activity, financing accessibility remains a significant hurdle for many buyers. A report by Otodom and the LAB60+ Foundation suggests that buyers should evaluate property through four lenses: time, perspective, energy, and well-being. Specifically, the report highlights the hidden costs of commuting, noting that long travel times can cost individuals up to 10 hours per week, which equates to over 21 full days per year and may be linked to higher risks of depression.
