Real estate markets in Brazil and Portugal introduce new housing financing options
Real estate markets in Brazil and Portugal are seeing new initiatives to facilitate home ownership through specialized financing and housing events.
In Fortaleza, Brazil, the Mega Feira da Casa Própria 2026 is scheduled for September 24–27 at RioMar Fortaleza. Organized by Sinduscon Ceará and Lopes Immobilis, the event features 17 construction companies and approximately 12,000 housing units across various price points, including Minha Casa, Minha Vida programs and high-end developments. The fair aims to generate over R$ 50 million in business, offering financing through Caixa Econômica Federal for up to 90% of the property value.
In Portugal, Crédito Agrícola has launched the ‘CA Soluções de Crédito Habitação’ campaign, running until November 13, 2026. The bank is offering mixed interest rates starting at 2.50% for the first two years or 2.70% for the first three years. The campaign also targets customers looking to transfer existing mortgage contracts from other institutions by covering certain early repayment commissions, stamp duties, and formalization costs.
