Real estate markets see new investment and credit initiatives in Paraguay and Argentina

In Paraguay, the real estate company Lotenes has launched a private investment fund backed by a fiduciary trust. With an initial capital of G. 113,000 million, the company aims to develop up to 16,000 lots over the next four to five years. President Sebastián Maluff stated that the trust structure is designed to provide legal certainty for buyers, ensuring they can obtain property deeds once payments are complete by keeping the assets in an autonomous, unattachable estate.

In Argentina, a new government initiative aims to reactivate the housing market by injecting 2 trillion pesos into the banking system through the ANSES Sustainability Guarantee Fund. Analyst Enrique Alewarts noted that while credit conditions remain similar to previous lines, the availability of funds may encourage banks to expedite disbursements. The measure is expected to benefit those seeking first homes, particularly in the used property market where prices are more competitive than new developments.
