Real estate trends show divergence in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Real estate markets in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France are showing significant divergence between luxury mountain resorts and urban rental markets. In Courchevel 1850, luxury property prices rose by 9% over the last year, according to Cimalpes data. This growth is three times higher than the average increase seen in other Alpine stations.
In the rental sector, price disparities are also notable between cities. In Annecy, the average rent for a two-room apartment has reached €991, driven by a decrease in studio availability. This makes a studio in Annecy (€728) more expensive than a three-room apartment in Saint-Étienne (€645), which maintains the lowest average rents in the region. While Lyon is seeing an acceleration in average rents, cities like Clermont-Ferrand and Valence report an increase in available housing supply.
