Real Madrid activates buy‑back clause for Nico Paz

Real Madrid will trigger a €9 million buy‑back clause to re‑acquire Argentine midfielder Nico Paz from Italian Serie A side Como. The club intends to negotiate a future sale that could fetch as much as €60 million, turning the deal into a potential profit.

Paz, 21, was a key player for Como last season, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists in 40 league matches and helping the team secure a historic Champions League qualification. He has also earned eight caps for Argentina and is expected to feature in the World Cup squad.

Club president Floridi Pérez sees the move as a cash‑generation opportunity while acknowledging that competition in midfield at Madrid – including players such as Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler and recent arrivals like Bernardo Silva – makes a first‑team place uncertain for the Argentine.
