Real Madrid and Liverpool finalize Champions League squads
Major European football clubs Real Madrid and Liverpool have finalized their squad registrations for the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Real Madrid has excluded Ferland Mendy from their A-list due to ongoing rehabilitation from a rectus femoris tendon injury. To fill the vacancy, the club has registered young talent Sergio Martínez, who impressed during training sessions. The squad faces further challenges ahead of their match against Inter Milan, as Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga, and Bernardo Silva are suspended, while Aurélien Tchouaméni's fitness remains uncertain.
Liverpool has also made significant squad decisions, notably omitting Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo from their Champions League roster. Despite remaining with the club after the summer transfer window, their exclusion may signal potential departures during the upcoming winter window. Conversely, Liverpool has included players currently recovering from health issues, such as Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni, in their registered squad.
