Real Madrid and Malaga honor Nepal flood victims with minute of silence

Football clubs Real Madrid and Malaga observed a minute of silence and wore black armbands during their La Liga match at the Santiago Bernabeu to honor victims of devastating floods near the Nepal-Tibet border.

According to the Nepal Police, the death toll from the flash floods has reached 788. The highest number of fatalities occurred in Chitwan with 264 deaths, followed by Nawalparasi East with 194 and Nawalparasi West with 120. The National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Authority (NDRRMA) reported that 2,502 individuals remain missing, including 933 hydropower project workers and 592 foreign nationals.

Rescue operations continue across multiple affected areas, while unidentified bodies are being held at 21 hospitals nationwide for identification.
