Real Madrid and Manchester City discuss transfer of midfielder Eduardo Camavinga
Real Madrid, now managed by José Mourinho, has opened direct negotiations with Manchester City to sell French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Mourinho does not see the 23‑year‑old in his plans for the upcoming season, and the club has offered him to City as part of its squad restructuring.
Camavinga, who was omitted from Spain’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, is also linked with Paris Saint‑Germain and several Premier League clubs, but Manchester City has taken the most concrete steps, engaging in talks with Real Madrid’s officials. The English club is rebuilding after Pep Guardiola’s departure and sees the midfielder as a potential addition ahead of the transfer window.
While Camavinga has expressed a desire to stay at Real Madrid, the lack of a role under Mourinho and the club’s willingness to facilitate the move make a transfer to the Etihad Stadium increasingly likely.
