Real Madrid and Real Sociedad prepare for multiple player departures

Real Madrid are prepared to consider selling young centre‑back Raúl Asencio, whose contract runs to 2031. Manager José Mourinho has indicated openness to offers if a suitable transfer fee materialises, aiming to fund a more experienced defensive signing.

Across the league, Real Sociedad’s sporting director Erik Bretos has signalled that several players are unlikely to remain next season. Brais Méndez, Arsen Zakharyan, Jon Karrikaburu and Carlos Fernández have all been mentioned as candidates for exit, with contracts extending to 2028‑2029 and various offer interests reported. The club plans to find new clubs where the players can obtain more playing time.

Both clubs are expected to make decisive moves in the upcoming summer transfer window as they reshape their squads for the next La Liga campaign.
