Real Madrid Castilla and Deportivo Fabril assigned to Primera Federación groups for 2026‑27

Real Madrid Castilla has been placed in Group 2 of the Primera Federación for the 2026‑27 season. The group will feature clubs from Madrid, Andalusia, Aragón, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Murcia and the Balearic Islands, including recently relegated sides SD Huesca and Real Zaragoza, as well as FC Cartagena, UD Ibiza, Villarreal B, Real Murcia and others.

Deportivo Fabril, the reserve team of Deportivo La Coruña, will compete in Group I of the same division. Its group contains four other Galician clubs—Racing de Ferrol, Lugo, Pontevedra and UD Ourense—alongside teams such as Mirandés, Cultural Leonesa, Ponferradina and Zamora, plus Bilbao Athletic's B side. Both reserve squads will face a mix of historic Spanish clubs and other B‑teams as they aim for promotion to the professional leagues.

The announcements were made by the Royal Spanish Football Federation as it finalised the composition of the two Primera Federación groups for the upcoming campaign.
