Marc Cucurella vows tattoo of coach and retirement if Spain wins World Cup

Spain left‑back Marc Cucurella, now a Real Madrid signing, said he will get a tattoo of head coach Luis de la Fuente’s face on his biceps if Spain clinches the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In an interview on the show Partidazo and repeated in Movistar+ and Fox Sports coverage, he added that he would call the coach the day after a victory and retire from the national team, ending his international career on a high note. Cucurella has featured in every minute of Spain’s World Cup campaign, providing two assists and helping the team reach the final against Argentina in New Jersey. His promise joins other light‑hearted pledges from teammates, such as Lamine Yamal’s giveaway of Beats headphones, but marks a personal milestone for the 27‑year‑old defender.
