Real Madrid criticized by Claude Makélélé after loss

Former Real Madrid midfielder Claude Makélélé has criticized the team's performance following a 2-1 defeat against Atlético de Madrid. Speaking on ESPN, Makélélé stated that the squad lacks cohesion and a clear tactical plan. He noted a lack of understanding between the players and manager José Mourinho, asserting, “The team is weak, there is no game plan, there is absolutely nothing.”

During the match, Atlético de Madrid secured their lead after a red card for Huijsen. Although Antonio Rüdiger scored a late goal for Real Madrid, the team could not overcome the deficit. Following this loss, Real Madrid sits in fourth place in the league standings with 15 points, trailing Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, and Betis.
