Real Madrid defeats Barcelona in La Liga clash

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou during a La Liga match on October 25, 2026. Kylian Mbappé scored both goals for Real Madrid, reaching a milestone of 100 goals for the club in his 116th appearance. Raphinha scored the lone goal for Barcelona.

The loss ended Barcelona's perfect record in the league. Following the match, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick noted that the team was not at 100% physical capacity and required recovery from fatigue. In contrast, PSG manager Luis Enrique suggested that maintaining peak performance too early in the season can be dangerous, aiming for a peak during the Champions League knockout stages in April.

Real Madrid remains in third place in the league standings with 24 points, trailing Barcelona by three points. Atlético de Madrid sits in second place with 25 points.
