Real Madrid defeats La Laguna Tenerife in Costa del Sol Tournament

Real Madrid secured a 97-90 victory against La Laguna Tenerife in their opening match of the Costa del Sol Tournament preseason competition in Marbella.

Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot led the scoring for the Madrid side with 26 points, playing a decisive role in the final minutes alongside Facundo Campazzo. Despite a strong start, Real Madrid faced challenges from Tenerife, who utilized effective three-point shooting and maintained a tight contest through halftime, leading 53-49.

In the second half, Real Madrid regained control, aided by strong interior play from Pradilla and Jantunen, as well as Luwawu-Cabarrot’s continued accuracy. Tenerife struggled with fatigue and turnovers in the closing stages, allowing Madrid to secure the win. With this result, Real Madrid advances to face Unicaja this Saturday to determine the tournament winner.
