Real Madrid under Mourinho signs Silva, Cucurella and blacklists four players

Jose Mourinho has taken charge of Real Madrid and launched an extensive transfer campaign. The club confirmed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva from Manchester City on a contract until 2028, and English left‑back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for a fee close to €60 million with a deal running to 2031. Other arrivals mentioned include centre‑back Ibrahim Konaté and right‑back Denzel Dumfries.

Mourinho also released a "blacklist" of four players he does not see in his plans: centre‑back Raúl Asencio, left‑back Ferland Mendy, left‑back Fran García and midfielder Dani Ceballos. Reports suggest Asencio could move on loan or transfer to Turkish side Galatasaray, with interest also from other Turkish and Premier League clubs.

In addition, Real Madrid is reportedly willing to sell French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, valuing him near €80 million, to fund the acquisition of Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández, a top target for Mourinho’s midfield. The club is also linked with a possible signing of centre‑back Tomás Araújo.

These moves reflect Mourinho’s intent to reshape the squad ahead of the new season, addressing both attacking and defensive needs while offloading players deemed surplus to requirements.
