Real Madrid faces squad and leadership developments

Real Madrid is facing various developments regarding its squad and institutional leadership. Defender Raúl Asencio reportedly rejected three significant offers this summer—including interest from Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, and a club in Turkey—to remain at the club and compete for a starting position.

In the midfield, Liverpool FC is reportedly interested in Aurélien Tchouaméni. While the Frenchman's future at Real Madrid has been subject to speculation regarding potential sales or contract renewals, Liverpool's sporting director, Julian Ward, is said to be a major admirer of the player.

On the institutional side, Enrique Riquelme has addressed his future following the Real Madrid presidential elections. While accepting the results, Riquelme stated that he remains vigilant against any potential changes to the club's statutes that could facilitate a sale, which he considers a ‘red line’.
