Real Madrid forwards Espí and Diomandé navigate squad adaptation

Real Madrid players Carlos Espí and Yan Diomandé are facing different stages of adaptation within the squad under manager José Mourinho.

Carlos Espí is seeking his first goal at the Santiago Bernabéu. Despite a strong performance in a recent match against Roma, the Spanish forward has yet to score at the home stadium, with his only recent goal being disallowed for offside. Following a suspension for Vinícius, Espí may receive more playing time in the upcoming match against Sevilla.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé is under scrutiny following his €140 million transfer from RB Leipzig. In his first 10 official matches, Diomandé has recorded one goal and one assist. While his performance has yet to fully justify the record-breaking investment, Mourinho has noted that the player's initial difficulties were partly due to arriving without adequate summer preparation.
