Vinicius Junior contract impasse spurs Arsenal push as Real Madrid sets ultimatum

Vinicius Junior’s contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2027. The club has offered a renewal worth roughly €20 million net per season, but the Brazilian winger is demanding about €30 million annually, including a unprecedented renewal bonus. Real Madrid have warned they will sell the player if he does not sign a new deal.

Arsenal are reported to be preparing a bid of around €100 million and are ready to break their wage structure to meet Vinicius’s salary expectations. Manager Mikel Arteta has said the Gunners are “very ambitious” in the transfer market and expect “movements in the next few weeks”. A meeting with Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid officials is scheduled for 3 August to decide the player’s future, while Arsenal continue to explore a personal package that could include a high salary, a large signing bonus and a larger share of image‑rights.

If the contract stalemate continues, Real Madrid risk losing Vinicius on a free transfer next summer, while Arsenal view the signing as a “major step” to maintain their Premier League title challenge.
