German football clubs announce new kits and stadium milestones

Several German football clubs are making updates regarding kits and stadium anniversaries. SV Werder Bremen is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Weserstadion. To mark the occasion, the club unveiled a special white commemorative jersey featuring a historical emblem from 1924–1929, which will be worn during a legends match against Real Madrid. Additionally, Hans-Jörg Otto, managing director of Bremer Weserstadion GmbH, discussed potential expansion plans for the arena.

TSV 1860 München has released its navy blue away kit for the 2026–2027 season, produced by the local brand Societas. This follows a period of transition for the club after the departure of investor Hasan Ismaik and the replacement of previous supplier Joma. The new kit features the historical “FA” crest and the slogan “Freiheit für Sechzig”.

In other news, MLP Academics Heidelberg announced that due to delivery delays, the team will temporarily wear a previous design for the start of the Bundesliga season, with new kits expected by their second home game. Meanwhile, 1. FC Celle has opened ticket reservations for a 2027 anniversary match featuring Werder Bremen legends against a local selection of all-stars.
