Real Madrid manager Mourinho urges early player exits, while Michael Olise transfer deemed unfeasible
Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho said on a podcast that he would prefer his players to leave the World Cup quickly so they can join the club’s summer preseason. He explained that the longer they stay with their national teams, the later they can return to Madrid’s training camp, and he hopes they will be back as soon as possible.
Club official José Miguel Villarroya later argued that a potential €220 million signing of French midfielder Michael Olise is not financially viable for Real Madrid because the player has no personal sponsorship deals that would generate image‑right revenue. Villarroya said the lack of sponsorship income would prevent the club from recouping the transfer cost, and Real Madrid has officially denied any negotiations with Olise or his representatives.
