Real Madrid opens Mourinho era with penalty win over Alcorcón in pre‑season friendly

Real Madrid played a pre‑season friendly against AD Alcorcón at the Valdebebas complex, marking José Mourinho's first match back in charge after a 13‑year hiatus.

With several regulars unavailable, including captain Fede Valverde, Militao and Rodrygo, the game was limited to the first 25 minutes on live broadcast. The only goal came from an eleven‑meter penalty taken by Yáñez in the 81st minute, giving Madrid a 1‑0 victory.

Mourinho was seen on the pitch before kickoff, overseeing the warm‑up. The club announced a second friendly against Leganés and upcoming fixtures against Fiorentina, Ferencváros and Deportivo de La Coruña at the Teresa Herrera Trophy.
