Real Madrid registers record signing Yan Diomandé

Real Madrid has officially registered 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé for the 2026/2027 La Liga season. The transfer from RB Leipzig, valued at approximately €140 million including bonuses, makes Diomandé the most expensive signing in the club’s history. Notably, the club has placed him directly into the first-team squad rather than the Castilla reserve team.

In response to Diomandé’s departure, RB Leipzig has reached an agreement to sign 23-year-old striker Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim for roughly €25 million. Asllani is expected to sign a contract until 2031.

Financially, Real Madrid continues to manage significant investments, including over €1.3 billion dedicated to the remodeling of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. While the club maintains a low ordinary net debt, it carries substantial specific financing for the stadium project that will be serviced by the venue's future commercial revenues.
