Real Madrid set to earn over €100 million from resale clauses on former youth players

Real Madrid continues to profit from a policy of retaining around 50 % of future resale fees on academy graduates. This summer the club is expected to collect between €110 million and €120 million from a series of transfers that include Mario Gila’s move from Lazio to Milan, Nico Paz’s permanent sale to Como with an €80 million buy‑back clause, Alex Jiménez’s resale by Bournemouth, Víctor Muñoz’s €40 million move to Liverpool (with €20 million returning to Madrid), and Álvaro Rodríguez’s pending transfer from Elche to Bournemouth.

These clauses, introduced under President Florentino Pérez, allow the Blancos to generate substantial revenue without parting with first‑team players, reinforcing the financial model that supports recent high‑profile sign‑ins and overall club spending.
