Real Madrid signs Bernardo Silva as Mourinho rebuilds midfield

Real Madrid, newly appointed under manager José Mourinho, is reshaping its squad for the 2026‑27 season. The club secured Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva on a free transfer from Manchester City, offering a contract until mid‑2028—an exception to its usual policy of signing players under 30.
