Real Madrid Secures Yan Diomande Transfer from RB Leipzig FAST-MOVING

Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, 19, has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid after Paris Saint‑Germain withdrew from the race. Real Madrid are set to pay a fee exceeding €100 million – estimates range from €120 million to €130 million – to RB Leipzig and have agreed a five‑year contract that runs to 2031. Diomande, the Bundesliga Young Player of the Season 2025‑26 with 12 goals and eight assists, will become the Spanish club’s fifth summer signing.

PSG’s exit was attributed to the club’s stance against “inflationary” fees, with a final bid of about €102.5 million rejected by Leipzig. Liverpool, Manchester City and other clubs were also linked but did not submit offers. The deal has sparked ancillary stories, including Barcelona’s pursuit of Hoffenheim forward Vjones Asllani and Bayern Munich’s rejection of Michael Olise, both cited as consequences of the Diomande negotiations. A public dispute also erupted between transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Florian Plettenberg over the reporting of the transfer.
