Real Madrid signs NBA veteran Damian Jones

Real Madrid has announced the signing of American center Damian Jones for the remainder of the current season. Jones joins the team from the Puerto Rican club Vaqueros de Bayamón, where he most recently won a league championship.

Jones brings significant NBA experience to the Spanish club, having played 293 games across various franchises, including the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a two-time NBA champion, having won titles with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018.

With this addition, coach Pedro Martínez completes his rotation of centers, joining existing players Walter Tavares and Olivier Sarr. Jones described himself as an athletic player capable of defending multiple positions and creating space for the offense.
