Real Madrid supporters protest Negreira case at Bernabéu

Real Madrid supporters staged a protest during a Champions League match against Leipzig at the Santiago Bernabéu to demand accountability in the Negreira case. During the second half, fans displayed an English-language banner reading “No impunity for Negreira” and directed chants toward Barcelona, Spanish football officials, and the Spanish Football Federation.

Chants included accusations of corruption against the federation and messages targeting Barcelona president Joan Laporta and La Liga president Javier Tebas. The demonstration lasted approximately five minutes before concluding following a Real Madrid goal.

The Negreira case involves payments made by Barcelona to companies linked to José María Enriquez Negreira, a former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees. Real Madrid has escalated the matter to UEFA, which recently confirmed it has received a “substantial amount” of reports from the club for review by ethics and disciplinary inspectors.
