Real Madrid targets loan move for Argentine winger Franco Mastantuono

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has excluded Argentine winger Franco Mastantuono from the first‑team plans for the upcoming season, but the club does not want to lose the player permanently. President Florentino Pérez is preparing a loan to a Serie A side, following the development model used for Nico Paz, to give Mastantuono regular top‑level experience and preserve his registration rights.

Former Argentina striker David Trezeguet said Mastantuono should “copy the pathway of Nico Paz” after the teenager was left out of Argentina’s World Cup squad. The club is not looking to sell the youngster outright; instead it aims to place him at an Italian club where he can compete in UEFA competitions and return more mature.

Mastantuono, who joined Real Madrid from River Plate at 17, has made only three goals for the Spanish side and has seen limited game time in the last quarter of the season. The loan strategy is intended to accelerate his tactical growth while keeping future control with the Madrid hierarchy.
