Real Madrid targets Manchester City midfielder Rodri in €60 million summer move

Real Madrid are reported to be preparing a bid for Manchester City midfielder Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, with the Spanish club estimating a transfer fee of around €60 million. The 30‑year‑old Spanish international has had an injury‑hit season, making 29 appearances after returning from an ACL rupture and dealing with recurring knee, hamstring and groin problems. With Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expected to leave, the club could be willing to negotiate a sale.

Madrid have described Rodri as a "dream but impossible" signing, seeing him as a replacement for the departing Toni Kroos and a player who can control the midfield from deep. The potential transfer is set to be negotiated during the upcoming summer window.
