Real Madrid to deploy Brazilian prodigy Endrick on the right wing

Endrick, the 19‑year‑old Brazilian forward, spent the second half of the 2023‑24 season on loan at Olympique Lyonnais, where he scored eight goals and was primarily used as a right‑winger. His performances earned him a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup and convinced Real Madrid that he can fill a gap on the right flank.

Returning to Madrid for the 2024‑25 season, new manager José Mourinho plans to give Endrick significant playing time on the right wing, a position seen as a better fit than the central striker role occupied by fellow attackers such as Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé. The club’s €60 million investment in the young talent is expected to pay off as he integrates with teammates like Luka Modrić and Jude Bellingham.
