Real Madrid will face Deportivo La Coruña on 12 August at 21:00 in the 81st Trofeo Teresa Herrera at Riazor stadium. The encounter marks the Spanish giants’ first appearance in the tournament since 2013, when they won under Carlo Ancelotti and featured Kaká’s final official game for the club.

Now led by José Mourinho, Real Madrid will use the match as a preparatory test before the new season, assessing tactics and player fitness. Deportivo, back in La Liga after eight years and celebrating the 120th anniversary of its founding, will host the European heavyweight in a game that also serves as the club’s summer showcase.

The meeting is part of Real Madrid’s pre‑season programme, with training at Valdebebas starting 13 July, and follows the club’s decision to skip a United States training camp due to the World Cup schedule.
