Real Madrid under Mourinho praises Trent Alexander‑Arnold, agrees €115 m Diomande transfer

Jose Mourinho, newly appointed coach of Real Madrid, said the English right‑back Trent Alexander‑Arnold has impressed him most so far, citing the player's physical condition and recent performances against Leganes and Fiorentina.

Alexander‑Arnold will compete for the starting right‑back spot with Dutch international Denzel Dumfries, who was signed from Inter Milan earlier this summer.

In the same transfer window, Real Madrid reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the €115 million signing of 19‑year‑old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande on a five‑year contract. The club delayed the official announcement to give Leipzig time to find a replacement.
