Real Madrid weighs buy‑back option for midfielder Nico Paz
Real Madrid holds three buy‑back clauses for Argentine midfielder Nico Paz, who is currently on loan at Italian club Como. The first option – €8 million – expired in summer 2025; a second €9 million clause is available in 2026, and a third €10 million clause in 2027. Como, coached by Cesc Fábregas, wants Paz to stay for another season to play in the Champions League, and the player has expressed a desire to remain in Italy. The final decision rests with Real Madrid, which has a two‑week window to activate a clause. Portuguese coach José Mourinho has also shown interest in signing Paz, adding another variable to the negotiations.
The outcome will determine whether Paz returns to Real Madrid or continues his development with Como for the 2025‑26 campaign.
