Real Madrid Women name Linda Caicedo and Athenea del Castillo among new captains

Real Madrid Femenino announced the leadership group for the 2026‑27 season, appointing Colombian forward Linda Caicedo, Spanish midfielder Athenea del Castillo, Danish striker Signe Bruun and French midfielder Sandie Toletti as captains. Caicedo, who joined the club at 18, has made 117 appearances, scoring 34 goals and providing 28 assists, and will lead the side in the Champions League, Liga F and the Copa de la Reina while eyeing the 2027 Women’s World Cup with Colombia.
